Duo brillant B-Dur op. 110/1

The 3 duos brillants for piano and flute op. 110 by Friedrich Kuhlau, written at the end of the year 1829, were published in 1830 by the music trader and publisher Carl Christian Lose in Copenhagen. Parallel editions were brought out by the publishers Aristide Farrenc in Paris and Heinrich Albert Probst in Leipzig. Enclosed with the first print, appropriate to the label on the title page, after what the duos were meant also for piano and violin is a in parts in the lower octave set violin part.

The first naming of the piano before the flute indicates the high fundamental share, which the composer allocated to the keyboard instrument in all his duo works for these two instruments.

New editions were brought out in the following periods by the publishing houses Wessel in London, Litolff in Braunschweig, Ricordi in Milano and Billaudot in Paris.
